Bedroom Farce TinyRedwood Theatre proudly presents Bedroom Farce, a delightful comedy by legendary British playwright and director, Alan Ayckbourne. This play is set in the bedrooms of three couples, all in different stages of life and marriage. A fourth couple, Trevor and Susannah, manage to wreak havoc in all three bedrooms in the course of one eventful evening. Come experience the tears and laughter as these witty, quirky characters come to terms with their tenuous or rock solid relationships.

Bedroom Farce is directed by Laura Smith and is played by Monica Chilton, John Myers, Andrew Smith, Emily Lauckhart, Sarah Hadley, Jered Perez, Lauren Johnson and Bryce Smith.

Performance Dates

Show times are October 25th, 26th, 27th and November 1st and 2nd. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8:00pm and the Sunday matinee is at 2:00pm.

Pricing

Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for youths (18 years and younger) or seniors (60 years or better). Our Sunday matinee is a “pay what you can” and Saturday, October 26th is “Actors Benefit Night” when all proceeds are rewarded to our talented cast for their hard work and dedication.

Innuendo and Language

If you are wondering about bringing the young ones, this play is decidedly PG, so feel free to bring teens and any older children you feel could handle some mild innuendo and language.

AofA-posterStarting in April Redwood will be presenting a dramatization of L. M. Montgomery’s famous novel which has been read and loved by millions since its publication in 1909. The little girl of “Green Gables” has become a grown-up school teacher of seventeen. How she faces the first real problems of her life form the basis of Jeanette Carlisle’s faithful adaptation.

Directed by Judy Schwanke, this delightful and enchanting sequel to Anne of Green Gables continues the exciting adventures of one of literature’s most enduring characters, Anne Shirley. From her first days as a young teacher to her departure for Redmond College, we are reacquainted with old friends and new as Anne’s begins her career with a class of lively, but (usually) lovable, high-spirited students.

The couples have little in common except for Fiona Foster and Bob Phillips who are having an affair unbeknown to their partners. Mary & William Detweiler have no idea what is happening although they have been invited to both dinner parties. Confused? So are the characters! Cover-ups and subterfuge are the order of the day in this hilarious play.

Audition for Murder

Audition for MurderGrace Sharp is a retired high-school English teacher. Her friend, Doris Brooks, is a retired nurse. These two bicker and banter their way into, and through all sorts of intriguing situations. This time the duo have an accident on a deserted stretch of icy road. Shaken up, but not hurt, they seek help in an isolated building—it turns out to be an old Grange hall which has been converted into a community theatre. They arrive just in time for Audition for Murder.
